Ray Rafols began learning violin at the age of 10 with Sean O’Neil at Sarasota Music Conservatory. During his undergraduate schooling, he studied with Professor Corrinne Stillwell at Florida State University. Ray has freelanced with orchestras such as Panama City Pops, Ocala Symphony Orchestra, Albany Symphony, and Northwest Florida Symphony. He currently studies at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, pursuing a Master’s Degree in violin performance with Ofer Falk. Ray is a keen chamber musician as well and plays in his quartet the Breena Quartet at the Guildhall School. Besides classical music, Ray is also a jazz violinist and vocalist. He also experiments with electric violin, using multiple pedals to create different sounds.
