Iconoclast, cross-disciplinary academic, workaholic. Disciplinary boundaries have never been much of an obstacle for Jan whose published research spans the economic, political, and behavioral sciences. Guided by a generalist curiosity, much enthusiasm, and data availability (not unimportant!) Jan is most often found working on some paper project that may deal with the tiniest of genetic variations to the larger question of European integration. Jan will join UCL as an Assistant Professor in Political Economy and Behavioural Science and is currently finishing up his PhD at the LSE and was previously a Fulbright scholar at Harvard
